Summary
Responsible for ensuring accurate on hand inventory and efficient binning of products to assure high
efficiency in operations. Role owns Inventory accuracy via managing a team of Warehouse Inventory
Auditors, research of issues and coordination with other departments to assure systems, checks &
balances, training, etc. is in place to meet highest levels of accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Inventory Auditor team
- Ensure compliance with Inventory Control procedures
- Monitor inventory compliance procedures and suggest changes due to business changes or improvement to current system believed to be possible
- Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies within internal and update all transactions in ERP system
- Designing and working with operations to implement optimized warehouse layout and inventory slotting strategies to boost operational efficiency and storage density
- Assure new products are slotted ahead of arrival, for fastest receipt to sales ready timing
- Prepare and participate in annual physical inventory counts
- Research all cycle count variances to find root cause of problems and work as needed with other departments to keep the issue from re-occurring. If required with IT to modify systems to assure systems are working and supporting inventory accuracy goals
- Collaborate with Warehouse, Supply Chain and Customer Service teams to ensure order fulfillment when there are inventory discrepancies
