SUMMARY
Our AS9100 and ISO13485 certified electromechanical assembly facility has an immediate opening for an Junior Test Engineer. Executes and troubleshoots complex functional tests, maintains test equipment and software, analyzes test failures, supports productions for various programs
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
System Test
· Ability to understand and execute complex functional test procedures, including detailed optical calibration processes, as well as run automated test programs using dedicated test software and equipment.
· Capable of identifying the root cause of test failures and performing necessary troubleshooting steps, such as adjusting test software parameters, re‑calibrating equipment, and verifying that the test setup meets required specifications.
· Troubleshoots, debugs and repairs defective test programs and updates test programs and fixtures for Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
· Co-ordinates and sets up functional test equipment according to customers specifications and releases to production.
· Monitors and reports on test station yields and test symptom reports taking corrective actions, as required.
· Provides initial technical support to test stations within production and repair services.
· Work with Engineering to troubleshoot electronic or computer issues.
· Making routine decisions affecting work inside own area, advising Engineering Manager of the action taken, refers more complex and sensitive decisions to Engineering Manager.
SKILLS
· Undergraduate Degree in electronics engineering or Associates Degree with a minimum of three years of relevant electronics experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Must have advanced computer skills: Ability to adjust device parameters using tools like PuTTY via serial port. Demonstrates strong file‑management skills, including organizing files generated by the test, maintaining consistent and descriptive naming conventions, and managing versioned files to ensure accurate traceability across test cycles.
· Proficient with advanced computer tools and software, including but not limited to ADB (Android Debug Bridge), Git Bash, and Windows Terminal. Familiar with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Access.
· Demonstrates hardware test and system test experience.
· Knowledge of industry technical/quality standards (IPC, ISO etc.) and ERP system
· Ability to program/operate test and measurement equipment's
· Good understanding of Functional Test, manual and automated test strategies and capable of supporting different types (Medical / Automotive/ communication/ Aerospace) customer requirements on test process.
· Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills and able to handle several concurrent projects.
· Applies knowledge of the company's business and customers as well as corporate policies and procedures
· Ability to communicate effectively to deal with all levels of staff within the company, as well as with clients, and suppliers, to exchange factual information and provide necessary explanation
· Ability to operate computer, test systems, functional testers, and related office tools which includes some repetitive motions requiring manual dexterity and good hand/eye co-ordination
· Resolves complex problems analyzing/interpreting situation/data and reviewing relevant factors to determine an appropriate solution, applying significant judgement accordingly
