Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing leasing activities, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with housing regulations. This role requires strong communication skills, familiarity with property management software, and a solid understanding of legal and administrative procedures related to leasing. The Leasing Agent will serve as the primary point of contact for prospective tenants and existing residents, fostering positive relationships and facilitating lease agreements efficiently.

Duties

  • Greet prospective tenants and conduct property tours, showcasing available units and amenities.
  • Manage the leasing process from application to lease signing, including data entry and filing of tenant information.
  • Utilize Yardi, OneSite, and other property management software to maintain accurate records of leasing activities, rent payments, and tenant communications.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, LIHTC requirements, and other relevant legal standards.
  • Handle tenant inquiries via phone and in-person, providing excellent customer service and conflict management.
  • Negotiate lease terms, contracts, and renewal agreements while upselling additional services or amenities when appropriate.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams regarding property upkeep and facilities management issues.
  • Assist in marketing efforts through effective sales techniques and relationship management to attract prospective tenants.
  • Maintain knowledge of landlord-tenant law to ensure all leasing practices adhere to legal standards.
  • Prepare reports related to occupancy rates, lease expirations, and property performance for management review.

Experience

  • Proven experience in property leasing or real estate administrative roles.
  • Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs, LIHTC compliance, and Fair Housing regulations.
  • Experience using Yardi, OneSite, CMMS systems, or similar property management software.
  • Strong background in customer service, conflict resolution, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Office experience involving data entry, filing, customer relationship management (CRM), and administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge of landlord-tenant law and legal administrative procedures related to property leasing.
  • Prior experience in sales or upselling within a property management or real estate setting is preferred.

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour
