Pipe Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable pipe welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience welding various types of pipe (carbon steel, stainless steel, etc.). This role involves reading blueprints and technical drawings, performing precise welds in various positions, and ensuring all work meets industry codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding procedure specifications (WPS)
• Set up welding equipment and select proper materials based on project requirements
• Perform high-quality welds on pipes in different positions (horizontal, vertical, overhead)
• Conduct weld inspections and repairs as needed
• Cut, bevel, and prep pipe using appropriate tools and techniques
• Work closely with pipefitters, supervisors, and inspectors to meet job specifications and deadlines
• Follow all company and OSHA safety regulations and procedures
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition

Qualifications: Welding School of some type
