About
Our Richmond, Virginia distribution center is looking for an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to lead our operations. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient workflow, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of productivity and **safety**. You will be instrumental in coordinating **logistics**, managing inventory, and optimizing warehouse processes. Key duties include scheduling and assigning tasks to warehouse staff, monitoring performance, providing training and guidance, and ensuring compliance with all company policies and **safety** regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems and best practices. You will be responsible for promoting a positive and productive work environment, fostering teamwork, and ensuring that all **PPE** is used correctly and consistently. Experience with **Lifting** operations and managing heavy equipment is beneficial. This is a critical position for ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our **logistics** network.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities.
- Manage and motivate a team of warehouse associates.
- Ensure efficient receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Implement and maintain high standards of **safety** and **PPE** usage.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures and **safety** protocols.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows for maximum efficiency.
- Address and resolve any operational issues or staff conflicts.
- Contribute to the overall **logistics** strategy and planning.
- Oversee the proper handling and **Lifting** of goods.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations and **logistics**.
- Familiarity with inventory management software.
- Excellent understanding of **safety** procedures and **PPE** requirements.
- Ability to manage and delegate tasks effectively.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with **Lifting** equipment and warehouse machinery.
