About
Our Cincinnati, Ohio facility is looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documents, verifying package contents against orders, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to guarantee timely dispatch of goods. We are committed to maintaining a safe workplace, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. This position may involve some lifting and moving of packages, so physical capability is important. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Verify shipment contents against order details and packing lists.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Inspect packages for damage and ensure proper sealing and labeling.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Communicate with internal teams regarding shipment status.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and procedures.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse safety and material handling.
