As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and preparation of materials within the warehouse. Key duties include receiving goods, stocking inventory, picking items for orders, and preparing shipments. Safety is our top priority, and all employees must strictly adhere to safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting and manual dexterity. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials properly.
- Move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely.
- Pick and pack items according to order specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and PPE requirements.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Be able to handle substantial lifting throughout the shift.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous material handling or warehouse experience is desirable.
- Proven ability to perform lifting tasks (up to 50 lbs).
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Dedication to workplace safety and correct use of PPE.
- Strong work ethic and punctuality.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
