Join our vital operations as a Forklift Operator at our bustling Baltimore, Maryland facility. This role is fundamental to our warehouse and logistics functions, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout our distribution center. You will operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and assist in maintaining organized storage areas. A strong commitment to Safety , proficiency in forklift operation, and attention to detail are paramount. We are seeking dependable individuals who can work effectively in a team and adhere to all operational procedures. Your expertise will directly impact our productivity and supply chain efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring proper handling and placement of goods.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts, reporting any issues promptly.
- Transport inventory between receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Maintain an organized and clutter-free work environment, adhering to Safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stocktaking as required.
- Follow all company procedures for material handling and storage.
- Strictly adhere to all Safety regulations and protocols, including the use of mandatory PPE .
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
- Tasks may include occasional manual Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Valid forklift certification and a strong safety record.
- In-depth knowledge of forklift operation and safety procedures.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management principles.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical stamina, including frequent standing, walking, and occasional Lifting .
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must consistently wear appropriate PPE .
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
