About
We are seeking a qualified and reliable Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics hub in Jacksonville, Florida. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, sort, load, and unload materials within our warehouse. You will play a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Safety , excellent operating skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory management practices is essential. This position involves consistent operation of machinery and adherence to strict safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and productively.
- Load and unload freight from trailers and containers.
- Transport materials between receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Stack and organize inventory accurately in designated locations.
- Perform routine daily inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Report any operational issues, damages, or safety concerns immediately to supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Properly use all required PPE , including safety vests, gloves, and footwear.
- Assist with inventory counts and warehouse organization tasks as needed.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring occasional manual Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification and a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in operating industrial forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory control, and logistics .
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to Safety .
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to wear and maintain all required PPE .
- Must be capable of performing tasks involving moderate Lifting and repetitive motions.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
