Seeking a dedicated Receiving Clerk for our busy warehouse in Provo, Utah. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately documented, inspected, and processed efficiently. The Receiving Clerk plays a vital part in maintaining inventory integrity from the moment goods arrive. You will be responsible for unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, identifying damaged goods, and preparing items for put-away. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding safety standards are essential. This position involves frequent manual handling and lifting of items. We provide all necessary PPE to ensure a safe working environment. The ability to work in a fast-paced setting and collaborate effectively with the warehouse team is crucial. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and containers.
- Verify received goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming merchandise for damage or defects.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory system.
- Tag and label incoming stock for proper identification.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to management promptly.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Properly use all required PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with inventory control procedures.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and workflow.
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations.
- Experience with RF scanners is a plus.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
