We are looking for a motivated Warehouse Coordinator to oversee and manage daily operations at our Grand Rapids, Michigan facility. As a Warehouse Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics department. Your responsibilities will include coordinating the movement of goods, managing inventory levels, optimizing warehouse layout, and supervising warehouse staff. You will also be involved in implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems and logistics best practices. This role may involve occasional lifting of items up to 40 lbs and requires the ability to work in a dynamic environment. Maintaining a safe work environment is a top priority, so strict adherence to safety protocols and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily warehouse activities and staff.
- Oversee inventory management and control processes.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Implement and manage efficient logistics workflows.
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain a safe working environment and enforce safety regulations.
- Train and mentor warehouse team members.
- Manage shipping and receiving operations.
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics function.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse management or supervision.
- Strong knowledge of logistics principles and supply chain management.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to occasionally perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards and ensuring PPE usage.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
