We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to load, unload, and transport goods. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Receive, identify, and stage materials for distribution or storage.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Ensure materials are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper working condition.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times while operating machinery or in designated areas.
- Support overall logistics operations and team goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory systems is a plus.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety protocols and use required PPE.
