We have an immediate opening for a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Columbus, Ohio. This critical role ensures the efficient movement of goods into and out of our facility. As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for verifying incoming shipments, preparing outgoing orders, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Your contributions are vital to our overall logistics chain and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify product counts against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain organized and clean receiving and shipping docks.
- Update inventory records in the WMS.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and wear required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including Lifting.
- Ensure timely processing of all logistics documentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations preferred.
- Proficiency with WMS (Warehouse Management System) is a plus.
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
