Requirements We have an exciting opportunity for a talented embedded software engineer looking to progress their career.
Educated to degree level
At least 5 years' experience in embedded software development
Extensive knowledge of all aspects of programming in ‘C’
Good working knowledge of another programming language unrelated to ‘C’
Ability to develop low level applications on modern microcontrollers – we generally use ARM Cortex-M series processors
Ability to read and understand schematics, datasheets and errata notices as they relate to software development
Ability to use test equipment to verify correct functioning of embedded software
Skill in debugging problems and resolving issues without recourse to software debugging tools
Ability to work autonomously under the guidance of senior engineers
Responsibilities
Responsible for full developments (Our developments vary from a few weeks to a few months)
Adhering to written specifications
Creating code that is well written, stable, reliable and easy to maintain
Testing to verify code is performing to specification.
Documentation as required by the specification
Second line support on your developments
Working as part of a team on larger projects
