We are currently recruiting for a Sr. HR Coordinator who is responsible for providing overall administrative human resources support to the Americas division. This role is responsible for payroll, benefit administration, recruitment & onboarding, offboarding and general administration of HR policies. The ideal candidate is a detail oriented, customer service focused, problem solver that has a strong overall knowledge of HR administration. This position is a part-time, hybrid role and reports to the HR Director located in the Columbus, OH office.
Essential responsibilities:
Payroll and Benefits Administration
- Payroll: Processes payroll for hourly and salaried employees. Processes HR/Payroll related changes and maintains all employee files to ensure accuracy and compliance. This includes processing annual merit increases and bonus payments in payroll system. Manage and review quarterly and year-end tax documentation.
- Benefits: Administers employee health & welfare plans including new hire, open enrollment and qualified life-changing events. Acts as a liaison between employees and benefits consultants and ensures correct 401K deposit information to third party provider.
- Leave Administration: Assist employees with leave administration process, including FMLA, ADA, short-term disability, workers' compensation, and parental leave.
Recruiting & Onboarding
- Recruiting: Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned roles, from job posting through offer acceptance. Assists with recruitment and interview process through the applicant tracking system. Coordinates all phone and onsite interviews with candidates and leadership team for open positions. Includes providing candidates with relevant information regarding the position and company as well as providing leaders with relevant information regarding candidates. This may include coordination of flights, hotels and cars. Also, responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
- Onboarding: Administers background checks and drug tests for new hires. Coordinates all new hire needs including email, ERP and shared cloud access, purchases corporate cell phones, business cards, and coordinates purchase of new hire computers with Global IT contact. Conducts new hire orientation for HR related content including payroll, benefits, and I-9s, HR policies. Additionally, schedules and conducts 30, 60 and 90 day check ins for new hires.
Performance Management & Employee Training
- Performance Reviews and Merit statements: Updates leaders on performance review status of employee appraisals and creates and disperses Total Reward Statements for employees. Uploads completed performance documents into the HRIS system.
- Training & Development: Arranges employee training and adds all training records into HRIS. This includes QMS Training and Competency Reports for new hires and newly transferred/ promoted employees.
General HR Operations
- Support and coordination: Act as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns. Support the daily administration of various HR projects and initiatives. This includes Americas HR division and Global HR.
- Conduct Exit Interviews with departing employees and reports input to HR leader for follow up with business leaders.
- Participate in Safety Committee and Community Engagement Committees.
- Coordinates all company events both onsite and off-site, if needed. This includes any company sports function, corporate meetings, employee lunches, meeting coordination and catering of meals.
- Creates and maintains employee hours reports, PTO reports, Attendance reports, HRIS reports (New hire, termination, headcount, etc.), and tuition reimbursement tracking report.
- Employment verifications: Conducts all employee verifications & unemployment paperwork to state agencies.
Previous Work & Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years' experience in Human Resources functions specializing in payroll and benefits.
- Experience using ADP Workforce Now is required.
- Must have a great deal of integrity and practice strict confidentiality.
- Proficiency with MS Office products is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of the organization.
- Must be proactive and anticipate needs of employees and leaders without being asked.
- Display an eagerness to evolve HR systems for impact and want to help shape a next-generation HR function that is as innovative as the business it supports.
