Temporary Electrical Technicians
to support the disassembly, relocation, and reassembly of industrial electrical systems and automation equipment during a planned facility move. This role will focus on wiring and terminating control panels, motors, and automation components; reassembling electrical systems in compliance with applicable codes and safety standards; and supporting post-move testing and validation to ensure all equipment is fully operational. This is a
fixed-term assignment from February 2 through April 10
, ideal for a hands-on electrical technician with experience in industrial or manufacturing environments who can contribute immediately with minimal onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wire and terminate industrial control panels, motors, and automation components for complex machinery and automation.
  • Reassemble electrical systems, ensuring proper grounding, wire management, and compliance with electrical codes (NEC/NFPA 79).
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
  • Inspect electrical components for damage, wear, or heat stress, and document findings.
  • Use electrical test equipment (multimeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes) and hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Support software validation after reassembly to ensure sensors, actuators, and communication networks are functional.
  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), arc flash safety, electrical enclosure access, and quality procedures at all times. Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards.
  • Document work performed, wire run lists, and any red-line changes made to schematics.
  • Collaborate with equipment engineers, maintenance staff, and production teams to meet schedules and objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (electrical apprenticeship or vocational training preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience as an electrical technician, industrial electrician, or automation specialist.
  • Strong understanding of AC/DC circuits, 3-phase power distribution, and control systems. Experience with industrial wiring and control panel building.
  • Ability to read and follow complex electrical schematics and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with electrical measurement tools (multimeters, amp probes, circuit tracers).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and kneeling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or Automation.
  • Experience working with PLC and robot hardware (Beckhoff, Mitsubishi, Omron, Fanuc, Siemens) and VFDs.
  • Knowledge of industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET) and sensor calibration.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • High level of manual dexterity and attention to detail regarding wire terminations and labeling.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Time management and ability to meet strict production and commissioning schedules.

Work Environment – Office

Includes both a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and a shop environment, with exposure to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, nuisance dust, and exposure to hazardous materials used in the manufacturing process.

PPE

May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump-caps, gloves, hair nets, masks, & clean-room frocks while adhering to the prescribed safety procedures. Ear Plugs are recommended in areas of high noise levels that meet minimum OSHA requirements.

The base pay is just one part of CelLink's total compensation package and is determined within a range. Your base pay range will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

$35—$40 USD
