Position Summary: Product Interoperability Engineer
Location: Nashua, NH
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Product Interoperability Engineer to design and oversee interoperability tests for Active Electrical Cables (AEC), Active Optical Cables (AOC), and Optical Transceivers. The ideal candidate will ensure product compatibility, reliability, and performance across a wide range of standards, including Ethernet, PCIe, SAS, and others.

Responsibilities

  • Interoperability Test Design and Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive interoperability test plans for AEC, AOC, and Optical Transceiver products.

  • Ensure compatibility and seamless integration with various switch, server, and GPU platforms.

  • Compliance with Standards:

  • Ensure products adhere to industry standards such as Ethernet, PCIe, CXL, SAS, and others.

  • Stay updated on evolving standards and ensure testing methodologies remain current.

  • Testing and Validation:

  • Execute interoperability tests across a diverse range of hardware and software configurations.

  • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to interoperability, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with external partners and customers to validate interoperability across third-party systems.

  • Collaboration:

  • Work closely with R&D, product management, and qualification teams to ensure testing aligns with product requirements.

  • Coordinate with manufacturing teams to address any interoperability issues that arise during production.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed records of interoperability tests, results, and certifications.

  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and external partners.

  • Process Improvement:

  • Continuously enhance interoperability testing processes to increase efficiency and coverage.

  • Integrate automation tools and innovative approaches to improve testing accuracy and speed.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in interoperability testing or related fields, ideally with high-speed interconnect products such as AEC, AOC, and Optical Transceiver.

  • Experience with data center architectures, such as spine-leaf and AI-fabric designs.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Ethernet, PCIe, SAS, and related standards.

  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, signal integrity, and system-level testing.
  • Experience with interoperability testing tools and platforms.

  • Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional and dynamic team environments.

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in AI-fabric or GPU interconnect testing.

  • Familiarity with automation frameworks for interoperability testing.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for compatibility (DFC).
  • Certification/extensive knowledge in Ethernet, PCIe, CXL, or other relevant standards.
