Part-Time (Friday & Saturday Overnight)
Uniquely You Services, LLC is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and committed professionals to join our team. Our three-bedroom group home provides 24-hour care to adults with developmental disabilities. Position: Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Purpose:
DSPs provide quality, person-centered care while supporting adults with disabilities in achieving greater independence in a home-like environment and within their community. The goal is to enhance quality of life, promote choice, and encourage decision-making.
Primary Responsibilities:Direct Care & Support
- Provide person-centered support in the home and community, including skill-building, communication, self-advocacy, and daily living assistance.
- Assist individuals with personal care needs such as eating, hygiene, toileting, and maintaining a clean environment — always encouraging independence.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate daily notes and required documentation.
- Complete Incident, Injury, Seizure, and Vehicle Accident reports as needed.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding daily attendance, timekeeping, and service records.
Medication & Health Support
- Administer medications upon successful completion of the 32-hour Medication Certification course.
- Respond to emergencies using First Aid, CPR, or TOVA (as a last resort) when necessary.
Behavior Support
- Follow behavior support plans and utilize positive, adult-centered behavior interventions.
- Use TOVA only when absolutely necessary for safety.
Home & Safety Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe home environment.
- Protect the safety, privacy, dignity, and rights of all individuals served.
- Ensure personal and professional training and certifications remain current.
Community Engagement
- Support individuals with community integration and ensure HCBS Rights Compliance.
Other Duties
- Perform additional tasks as assigned in alignment with agency policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- DSP, PCA, CNA experience preferred
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to person-centered care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to complete required certifications (Medication Administration, CPR/First Aid, TOVA, etc.)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
