You will be responsible for inspecting equipment before use, performing routine maintenance checks, and reporting any issues promptly. A strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures is essential, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation, excellent spatial awareness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, and requires good stamina. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Inspect equipment daily to ensure safe operation and perform minor maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including proper use of PPE.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and location.
- Organize and secure materials in preparation for transport.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, prioritizing safety.
- Assist other warehouse personnel as needed to ensure efficient logistics flow.
- Report any damaged goods or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
