We are hiring motivated Order Pickers to join our busy warehouse in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders by selecting items from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. Responsibilities:
- Select items from warehouse locations according to customer orders and pick lists.
- Utilize RF scanners to track picked items and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order precision.
- Transport picked items to designated staging areas for packing and shipping.
- Operate manual and powered pallet jacks as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock checks.
- Handle packages and materials involving lifting, following proper ergonomic and safety guidelines.
- Meet or exceed established productivity goals for order picking.
- Support the overall logistics and fulfillment operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order documents and labels accurately.
- Experience with RF scanning technology.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and bend for long shifts.
- Must be able to perform lifting tasks up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Awareness of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts based on business needs within our logistics network.
