We are seeking a proactive Warehouse Associate to join our logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is critical to the smooth functioning of our warehouse operations, focusing on efficient inventory management and order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding high standards of safety and productivity. You will be involved in all facets of warehouse activities, contributing to the timely and accurate processing of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming inventory, ensuring quality and quantity match documentation.
- Sort, organize, and store products in appropriate warehouse locations to optimize space and accessibility.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment with precision and care.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified), safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment in compliance with all regulations.
- Ensure consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Perform regular inventory cycle counts and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
- Report any safety hazards, damaged goods, or operational inefficiencies to management immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily logistics goals and operational targets.
- Handle tasks involving lifting and moving of materials, adhering to safe lifting practices.
Qualifications:
Previous warehouse or distribution experience is highly desirable. The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including significant lifting of up to 50 pounds, is a requirement. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to workplace safety and demonstrate a solid understanding of warehouse best practices. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliability are essential. The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics environment is crucial.
