Job Description As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will join our Loughborough team to develop and implement embedded software for advanced test and control systems. You will work with multi‑disciplinary teams to model, simulate, and deliver embedded software solutions that drive reliable and efficient test execution.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain embedded software using Embedded C for test and control systems.
Model, simulate, and validate system behaviour using MATLAB/Simulink to support embedded software design.
Collaborate with hardware and test teams to integrate embedded software with system‑level architectures.
Produce clear and detailed software documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and validation reports.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise embedded code to ensure reliable system performance.
Support continuous improvement in embedded software processes, coding standards, and simulation methodologies.
Ensure software aligns with project requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
Qualifications Required Skills
Strong experience in embedded software development using Embedded C.
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for modelling and simulation of embedded systems.
Proven ability to work effectively in multi‑disciplinary engineering teams.
Strong debugging, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
Experience producing high‑quality technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills
Exposure to real‑time systems or hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) testing.
Experience in automotive, aerospace, or energy systems embedded software.
Knowledge of software lifecycle processes for embedded systems.
Familiarity with communication protocols, data acquisition, or control systems.
