Power BI Developer

The primary responsibility of this role is to design, develop, and manage Power BI reports that extract quality assurance (QA) test results from Microsoft SQL Server databases. The successful candidate will deliver actionable insights through intuitive and user-friendly reports tailored for product managers with limited technical expertise. This role requires strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and a solid background in data analytics. Key Responsibilities Report Development : Design and create Power BI reports and dashboards that visualize QA test results, ensuring clarity and accessibility for non-technical consumption. Data Integration : Extract, transform, and load data from Microsoft SQL Server databases to support accurate and timely reporting. Data Analysis : Analyze QA test result datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive product quality improvements. Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with product managers to understand their reporting needs and translate them into effective Power BI solutions. Report Maintenance : Manage, update, and optimize existing Power BI reports to ensure performance and relevance. Data Quality Assurance : Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reports by validating data sources and implementing best practices in data handling. Documentation : Create and maintain documentation for report development processes, data models, and user guides for non-technical stakeholders. Required Qualifications Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query. Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation. Proven background in data analytics, with the ability to interpret and present data insights effectively. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics or a related field. Hands-on experience developing and managing Power BI reports for business stakeholders. Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves) General knowledge of .NET and C# for potential integration with custom applications. Familiarity with Jira for project tracking and issue management. Understanding of DevOps practices, including pipelines and version control systems. Experience creating reports for quality assurance or product management teams. Education Bachelorโ€™s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
