About The Role

We are seeking a talented Staff Frontend Engineer to join our team and help develop the next generation of Mochi's pharmacy software platform. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of telehealth and pharmacy operations, where the software solutions you create will not only support pharmacies but also set industry standards for operational excellence. As a senior member of the engineering team, you will take ownership of designing and implementing scalable, modern frontend systems that directly influence core pharmacy workflows. Your work will involve building high-performance, user-friendly interfaces that enhance operational efficiency and ensure system reliability at scale. Additionally, you will play a key role in driving frontend architecture decisions, mentoring junior engineers, and fostering a culture of technical excellence. The platform you help develop will serve as a foundation for analyzing pharmacy performance and enabling continuous improvement through AI-powered tools. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and Backend is essential to deliver seamless user experiences and meet strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of front-end development experience with a strong focus on React and React Native
• Exposure to Kotlin and Swift, with experience integrating native modules (e.g., Apple Health Kit)
• Proven track record of leading technical initiatives and delivering scalable, high-performance web and mobile applications
• Deep knowledge of modern front-end tooling such as TypeScript, CI/CD pipelines, and component-driven architecture
• Expertise in state management strategies and optimizing complex UX interactions in data-heavy applications
• Strong passion for creating fast, accessible, and visually appealing user interfaces
• Experience in startup environments, demonstrating ownership, problem-solving skills, and adaptability
• Bonus: Experience with healthcare applications, manufacturing or inventory management software, and SaaS products

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, optimization, and expansion of Mochi's web and mobile applications using React, React Native, TypeScript, Swift, and Kotlin
• Drive best practices in performance, security, and scalability to support rapid growth over the next 6 to 12 months
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver seamless, intuitive user experiences
• Make architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and promote front-end excellence across the organization
• Work hands-on with modern front-end tools, component-driven architecture, and state management solutions
• Optimize real-time interactions between patients, providers, and pharmacies with a focus on accessibility and usability
• Influence engineering culture by fostering innovation, technical ownership, and continuous learning within the team
