Food Runner

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and personable Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team. The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, customer interaction, and restaurant operations within a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in food handling or restaurant settings is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and strong communication skills are essential.

Duties

• Deliver prepared food from the kitchen to guests efficiently and courteously
• Assist servers with clearing and resetting tables as needed
• Ensure food presentation meets quality standards before serving
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding special requests or dietary needs
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and dining areas
• Support the team during busy periods by bussing tables and assisting with food prep tasks when necessary
• Uphold food safety standards throughout all service activities
• Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order accuracy and transaction processing
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and guest satisfaction

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, banquet, or hospitality environments is advantageous
• Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and food presentation standards
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Basic understanding of food preparation, serving, bussing, and guest services
• Experience with culinary or kitchen operations is beneficial but not mandatory
• Professional attitude with excellent customer service skills
• Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if required
