Posting Summary

Rutgers School of Public Health (SPH) is seeking a Student Assistant for the Department of Urban Global Public Health, located in Newark, NJ

The Student Assistant will work under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Community Engagement, Population Health, and Public Health Service. The Student Assistant will assist the Associate Dean with research projects addressing the mechanisms through which historically and contemporary under resourced populations experience health inequities; engaging in theoretically driven research that seeks to disentangle the effects of different social determinants of health on the outcomes of these populations.

Duties include:

  • Assist with data management, data analysis, and creation of tables and figures.
  • Assist with the editing and preparation of manuscripts, publications, reports and presentations.
  • Conduct literature reviews and summarize research findings as requested
