Bartender (Experience required)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting delicious beverages, engaging with guests, and ensuring a memorable experience for all patrons.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including proper storage of liquor, garnishes, and glassware.
• Ability to attend to customers while also making drinks for servers.
• Engage with customers, taking drink orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately.
• Monitor customer behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with legal regulations.
• Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages to management.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods, especially during events or banquets.
• Uphold food safety standards in accordance with health regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the food service industry in a bartending role.
• Strong knowledge of mixology, beverage preparation, and food safety practices.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Familiarity with POS systems; experience with Toast POS is a plus.
• Excellent math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
• Exceptional hospitality skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.

• Wine and Beer knowledge
• Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification
• Driver's License
• Food Handler Certification
• If hired, a City of Livermore cardroom permit is required which includes passing a background investigation.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
