Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the kitchen by assisting with food preparation and ensuring that all ingredients are ready for cooking. Duties

• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables and meats according to menu specifications.
• Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation practices in accordance with health regulations.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, and blenders safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality food preparation for service.
• Help with inventory management by notifying management of low stock levels.
• Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with culinary techniques and food preparation methods is essential.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen is required.
• Strong knife skills and experience with various kitchen equipment are advantageous.
• A passion for cooking and a willingness to learn from experienced chefs will be highly regarded.
