Blazel is looking for a
Data Scientist
who can design the analytical backbone of our platform turning large-scale content, audience, and engagement data into actionable intelligence and insights. This role blends applied data science, advanced analytics, and light backend development, to build dashboards, visualizations, and tools that will help our internal teams and customers understand the impact and reach of their digital social presence.
You will work across the entire data lifecycle: sourcing unstructured data, cleansing and refining it into reliable datasets, building models and metrics that explain performance, and presenting insights through clear and interactive interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data acquisition workflows that pull information from APIs, external sources, and automated collection tools.
- Clean, structure, and normalize social/content datasets to create high-quality analytical foundations.
- Apply statistical analysis and data science techniques to uncover patterns in how audiences interact with posts, creators, and topics.
- Build models and scoring systems that evaluate audience quality, engagement behavior, and growth dynamics.
- Partner with engineering to design scalable data schemas and backend endpoints that support analytical features.
- Create dashboards and visual artifacts that help users and internal teams interpret performance trends.
- Collaborate with product, content, and GTM stakeholders to translate business problems into analytical solutions.
- Use modern AI-assisted coding tools to speed up experimentation and development.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in data visualization (eg. Dash, Tableau, , or similar).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
- Proficiency working with NoSQL systems (eg. MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with APIs, data ingestion workflows, or social/content data.
- Ability to work across the stack when needed—Python preferred; familiarity with React is helpful but not required.
- Excellent data wrangling and feature engineering skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in creator analytics, social intelligence platforms, or digital audience research.
- Exposure to machine learning or AI workflows.
- Experience using AI-enhanced development tools.
