About
The Activities Coordinator is responsible for oversight and implementation of therapeutic recreational activities as appropriate for Cherokee Elder Care participants.

Essential Job Functions- Coordinates both group and individual activities, which address the participants' cognitive, physical, social, psychosocial, spiritual and artistic needs. Activities include, but are not limited to, exercise, arts, crafts, birthday, holiday celebrations, special events, recreational games, community outings, cognitive groups and oneonone activities.
- Development and planning of the monthly calendar of activities.
- Provides supervision and guidance to volunteers
- Coordinates outings and entertainment with Center Manager, transportation, dietary, maintenance, nursing, physical and occupational therapy staff.
- Participates in and presents information to the interdisciplinary team during morning meetings.
- Provides participant behavioral supervision and support.
- Completes required forms and documentation.
- Responsible for participant safety, identifying safety hazards and implementing corrective actions.
- Presents participant information and updates to relevant staff members.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all participant information.
- Requires frequent use of personal vehicle for business purposes.
- All other duties assigned by the Center Manager.
Core Job Functions for All Staff
- Attends and participates in staff meetings, inservices, projects and committees as assigned.
- Adheres to and knowledgeable of CEC policies, practices and procedures.
- Accepts assigned duties in a cooperative manner and performs all other related duties as assigned.
- Participates on task groups and committees, including the Quality Improvement Program
