Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Café Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service in a fast-paced, upscale environment, ensuring every customer has a memorable dining experience. Previous restaurant or food service experience, especially in fine dining or hospitality settings, is highly valued. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, customer relations, and sales within a vibrant café atmosphere.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using POS or cashiering systems
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas through bussing and sanitation practices
• Assist with food preparation and ensure proper food safety and handling procedures are followed
• Address guest inquiries promptly, providing excellent guest relations and resolving issues professionally
• Support team members during busy periods, including hosting or bussing duties as needed
• Follow all sanitation standards and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff

Skills

• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest relations
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and order accuracy
• Previous experience in fine dining, restaurant service, or hospitality environments is advantageous
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
• Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor and team-oriented attitude

Pay: $ $24.45 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30.0 per week
