Bartender

Job Summary

The Bartender at our Pickleball Club plays a key role in creating a welcoming, energetic, and social environment for members and guests. This position is responsible for preparing and serving beverages while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced, community-focused setting.

Key Responsibilities

Beverage Service

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including beer, wine, cocktails, and specialty drinks

• Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines

• Recommend beverages and upsell specials and promotions

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area

Customer Experience

• Greet members and guests promptly and courteously

• Create a positive, social atmosphere aligned with the club's culture

• Handle customer inquiries and concerns professionally

• Support events, leagues, tournaments, and private parties

Operations & Compliance

• Verify guest age and ensure responsible alcohol service

• Comply with all state and local alcohol laws and club policies

• Process orders through the POS system and handle payments accurately

• Monitor guest consumption and address intoxication issues appropriately

Inventory & Cleanliness

• Assist with restocking bar inventory and supplies

• Report low inventory or maintenance needs

• Perform opening and closing duties

• Maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards

Qualifications

• Minimum age per state alcohol service laws

• Prior bartending experience preferred

• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Obtain and maintain current Serve Safe (or similar) certification.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
