Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Breakfast Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong background in breakfast and brunch service. This role involves preparing high-quality breakfast dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and providing excellent service to our guests. Previous experience in fine dining, catering, or the food industry is highly valued. The Breakfast Cook will play a vital role in delivering a memorable dining experience through skillful meal preparation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook breakfast dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
  • Ensure all food is prepared safely and in compliance with food handling and safety standards
  • Assist with menu planning and suggest new breakfast items or improvements
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
  • Uphold high standards of food presentation and quality control
  • Support catering events or special meal preparations as needed
  • Follow all health department regulations and company policies. THIS IS A NON SMOKING ENVIRONMENT.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles, preferably in breakfast or fine dining settings. An Egg Stoge will need to performed, before job placement.
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of food safety practices
  • Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling procedures
  • Knowledge of the food industry standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and safety
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Prior dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
  • Experience with catering or serving is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Culinary training or certification is preferred but not essential
