About
We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Durham, North Carolina. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This role is vital for optimizing stock levels, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, slow-moving items, and potential issues.
- Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to ensure product freshness and minimize obsolescence.
- Monitor inventory accuracy in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure seamless inventory flow.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to maximize space utilization.
- Enforce safety guidelines and ensure compliance with PPE requirements in all inventory-related activities.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes, including occasional Lifting.
- Support overall logistics efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and techniques.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safety protocols within a warehouse environment and the necessity of PPE.
- Ability to perform moderate physical tasks, including Lifting up to 30 lbs.
