About
We are looking for experienced Forklift Operators to join our logistics team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse. Your expertise in forklift operation is crucial for maintaining smooth operations and ensuring the timely movement of goods. A strong commitment to safety, adherence to operating procedures, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas according to WMS instructions.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and support other warehouse functions.
- Contribute to efficient warehouse logistics and workflow.
- Perform occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety in all forklift operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including occasional lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime as required.
- Must wear required PPE, such as safety shoes and high-visibility vests.
- Understanding of safe lifting and material handling techniques.
- Commitment to a safe and accident-free workplace.
- Familiarity with logistics operations.
