About
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets and packing them securely for shipment. This involves using hand-held scanners and other warehouse equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from inventory using pick lists or scanners.
- Pack orders efficiently and safely, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Verify product quantities and types against order specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure operational efficiency.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially concerning safety and security.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding any discrepancies or issues.
- Properly use any required PPE to ensure your safety.
- Be prepared for tasks involving significant Lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse or picking/packing experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
- Familiarity with basic Logistics principles is a plus.
