About
Join our busy Atlanta, Georgia warehouse as a Material Handler! This role is essential for the smooth operation of our Logistics facility. You will be responsible for moving materials throughout the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring that inventory is stored correctly. The ability to operate various types of material handling equipment, with proper training, is often required. This position demands physical stamina and a commitment to Safety. You will work closely with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. We provide all necessary PPE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely (certification may be required/provided).
- Assist in inventory management and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to Safety protocols.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow all company Safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activity, including significant Lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery is a plus.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety regulations and procedures.
- Team player with good communication skills.
