Compensations of the IM/FM Physician:
- $240,000 - $270,000 (W2 employee) annually
- $150 -$165/hr. (1099 employee)
- 3 weeks Paid Time Off (PTO)
- 11 paid Federal holidays per year
- $1,500 CME annually

Work Schedule of the IM/FM Physician: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. SPTRole and Responsibilities of the IM/FM Physician:
- Interview and examine patients, review past medical history, and request and/or perform diagnostic tests and examinations as necessary to make a diagnosis for primary care services. Family Practice/Internal Medicine Physicians make diagnoses after evaluating the information obtained and provide medical or surgical treatment and/or referral as appropriate.
- Provide primary care services supporting a continuum of care from prevention to diagnosis and treatment, to appropriate referral and follow-up. Be responsible for caring for patients with simple to moderately complex conditions that can be appropriately managed in a primary care outpatient environment
- The first line of contact with a newly enrolled Veteran-patient; Encounter times, new patients 60 minutes, established patients 30 minute
- Provide healthcare services for the entire period of performance at the VASDHS or VASDHS CBOC. The physician shall schedule and perform procedures as appropriate.
- Counsel and educate Veteran-patients, families, and VASDHS medical staff about general healthcare topics and concerns.
- Contract Family Practice Physicians shall prescribe drugs and tests necessary to provide care.
Requirements
- Current licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the U.S. or the District of Columbia (D.C.)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible. Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABMI), or the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)
- Must have graduated from an approved school and completed residency or fellowship acceptable to the Surgeon General.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- (DEA) Certification
- National Practitioner Identifier (NPI)
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
