Job Summary:
Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our Charlotte, North Carolina facility. This position is crucial for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficient management of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for developing and implementing inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories, analyzing inventory data, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and optimizing stock placement for maximum efficiency. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in logistics operations are required. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and adherence to all company policies, including rigorous Safety standards. Responsibilities include:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective inventory control procedures.
  • Plan and execute cycle counts and full physical inventories.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, root causes of discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances promptly and accurately.
  • Manage inventory adjustments and ensure system data integrity.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and product slotting for improved efficiency and reduced handling times.
  • Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and identify obsolete or slow-moving inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all company Safety policies and procedures.
  • Proper use and oversight of required PPE for all inventory-related tasks.
  • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to enhance overall supply chain performance.
  • Tasks may involve occasional moderate Lifting .
