About
Our growing logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa, is seeking a meticulous Shipping Clerk to join us. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately preparing and processing outgoing shipments, ensuring all orders are documented correctly and dispatched on time. Your duties will include verifying shipping information, generating shipping labels, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our outbound logistics. We are committed to a safe work environment and expect all employees to utilize the provided PPE and follow all safety procedures. This role may involve some lifting.
- Verify shipping details and prepare orders for shipment.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation using our shipping software.
- Schedule pickups and coordinate with freight carriers.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant departments.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and files.
- Conduct final checks to ensure order accuracy and completeness.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Must be capable of occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Ensure the efficient processing of our outbound logistics.
