Seeking reliable Picker/Packers to join our growing logistics operation in Indianapolis, Indiana! In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Your primary responsibilities will involve selecting items from our vast inventory and preparing them for shipment. This is a fast-paced environment where efficiency, accuracy, and safety are key. You'll work closely with a team to manage incoming and outgoing goods, contributing to the smooth flow of our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and assemble customer orders using order sheets and RF scanners.
- Pack items appropriately to prevent damage during shipping, selecting suitable packaging materials.
- Maintain high standards of productivity and accuracy in all tasks.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe environment.
- Follow all established safety protocols, including the correct use of required PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Understand and contribute to the overall logistics of the distribution center.
- Lift and move packages of varying sizes and weights, adhering to safe lifting techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Prior experience in a warehouse setting, particularly in picking and packing, is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow all safety guidelines.
