Seeking a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk for our Denver, Colorado warehouse. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment products arrive. Your attention to detail will be key in verifying shipments against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and accurately documenting all received items into our inventory management system. This position is fundamental to the smooth flow of our logistics operations and maintaining precise inventory levels. Responsibilities:
- Receive all incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for any damages or defects, reporting discrepancies immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label received inventory according to established procedures.
- Stage received goods for put-away into designated storage locations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Coordinate with shipping department and other warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory control activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a related warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using computers and basic inventory management software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 30 pounds.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and the importance of PPE in a warehouse setting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes is a plus.
