Pharmacy Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy team in providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will assist with medication dispensing, patient interactions, and administrative tasks within a fast-paced healthcare environment. Duties

• Assist licensed pharmacists with medication preparation and dispensing
• Manage inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies, ensuring proper stock levels
• Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and guiding patients on medication usage
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information in compliance with privacy regulations
• Prepare and label prescriptions accurately using medical terminology
• Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing insurance claims
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area to meet safety standards
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely medication delivery and patient satisfaction

Experience

• Previous hospital experience or pharmacy technician experience is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
• Experience in patient care settings is preferred but not required
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team in a dynamic environment
• Prior experience supporting pharmacy operations or healthcare administration is a plus
