*NEW GRADS ENCOURAGED TO APPLY*! We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team at our Skilled Nursing facility in Columbus, Texas. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in adult and geriatric residents. This role plays a vital part in improving residents' quality of life and helping them regain or maintain functional communication and safe swallow abilities.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Evaluate residents to determine speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders using clinical observations and standardized measures.
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and collaborate with the care team to establish appropriate goals.
* Provide direct therapy services, including speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia intervention.
* Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with facility policies and Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $44.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
