About the Role: Finova is hiring a QA Engineer to join our quality-focused team in Manchester. This is an opportunity to take ownership of quality across our cloud-native B2B workflow solutions, ensuring our complex mortgage and savings platforms deliver exceptional reliability for our clients. You'll work closely with Product, Development, and stakeholders to champion testing best practices and drive quality at every stage of delivery.
What will you be doing?
Design and maintain comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test plans across functional, regression, and UAT testing
Own test design and ensure appropriate test coverage for business-critical features
Design, execute, and maintain automated test cases using low-code automation tools such as Katalon, TestComplete, or Mabl
Perform hands‑on manual testing and support release validation to ensure quality releases
Execute and maintain automated regression and smoke test suites in line with agreed processes and timelines
Lead QA-related meetings, including test planning sessions and defect triage discussions
Participate actively in 3 Amigos sessions with Product and Development teams to define acceptance criteria and testing approaches
Act as the QA representative on client calls, including triage and incident discussions, communicating quality risks and status clearly
Champion quality practices across the team and promote a strong testing culture within the project
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle
About You:
2–4 years' experience in a QA / Test Engineer role, ideally within B2B or SaaS environments
Strong test design skills with experience creating and maintaining test scenarios, test cases, and test plans
Hands‑on experience with low‑code test automation solutions such as Katalon, TestComplete, Mabl, or similar tools
Confident in both manual and automated testing approaches, with a pragmatic mindset for balancing speed and quality
Experience leading QA activities including test planning, defect triage, and release readiness assessments
Comfortable acting as the QA voice in cross‑functional and client‑facing discussions
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Product, Development, and stakeholder groups
A proactive approach to championing quality and embedding best practices across the team
Experience working in agile environments and contributing to iterative, fast‑paced delivery cycles
A commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with testing tools and methodologies
