About

As the COOK, you must be willing to do whatever duties are required to have the meals prepped, cooked and served in a timely manner for the client. We are looking for a cook with previous Camp experience. This position includes cooking and serving meals in our main dining room for up to 400 guests. There is shift work which includes Breakfast or Dinner service., as well as well as as split shifts if required due to occupancy. You will have one-on-one contact with the guest while serving, so must be able to communicate clearly and comfortably in English. It is a priority to speak, write, read and fully understand English. You must ensure the food is of the best quality and meets established standards. There must be a good variety of products at all times available for the client. You will be responsible for prep, preparation and service of the foods in a timely manner. You are also responsible to ensure kitchen is kept clean at all times throughout the process. You need to ensure temps are recorded at regular intervals and all safety and health protocols are followed and all paperwork completed. The cook is also responsible to ensure deliveries are unloaded, inventoried and put into coolers or onto shelves in a timely manner and in accordance with Health & Food Safe standards You will be part of a dynamic, family oriented staff and thereby willing to assist in other areas when asked. Must have Basic Alberta Food Safe.

Must be comfortable with engaging our guests with excellent, professional customer services skills and have excellent English comprehension, including speech, reading, and writing

Must be physically fit, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods and reaching. You will be required to assist with unloading delivery trucks and putting away groceries.

Must be drug and alcohol free

Must have proven team skills

Preference will be given to those with previous camp experience

Rotation is 14/7

****Note; transportation is not provided. Candidate must be able to get to Fort McMurray for pick-up or drive to the site.

Shifts are 10 hours

Pay is $250/day

Meals and accommodation are included
