Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in South Indian cuisine and touch of North Indian cuisine-food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management, This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee kitchen operations, develop innovative menus, and ensure exceptional food quality and safety standards. Candidates with extensive restaurant experience, food industry knowledge, and a passion for hospitality are encouraged to apply.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, ensuring efficient workflow
- Manage food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene compliance
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management and ordering supplies
- Ensure all food served meets quality standards and customer expectations
- Lead team management efforts by training staff, delegating tasks, and fostering a positive work environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with health regulations
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences
- Serve as a role model for excellent food safety practices and hospitality service
Requirements
- Proven minimum 3+ years of experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management
- Supervising experience within a culinary or hospitality setting is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and handling procedures
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent understanding of the food industry, including current culinary trends and standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior restaurant experience with a focus on hospitality excellence is preferred
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to support restaurant operations
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
