About
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Behaviour Interventionist (BI) to join our team This position involves supporting a playful and energetic 5-year-old boy on the autism spectrum in a home setting by implementing individualized behaviour intervention programs.
Position Details:
- Location: Richmond, BC
- Schedule: Three after-shcool sessions per week (3:30 or 4 pm–5 or 5:30 pm ; flexible on days)
- Start Date: As soon as possible
- Training and Supervision: Comprehensive training and ongoing supervision will be provided by a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)
- Rate: $25-35 per hour based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behaviour programs focused on language development, cognitive skills, following instructions and schedules, and social skills
- Actively engage in play-based learning activities
- Collect and record session data accurately
- Participate in scheduled team meetings
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English
- Experience working with young children, particularly those with autism
- Knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principles is preferred
- Educational background or current studies in Psychology, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or Speech-Language Pathology are considered strong assets
- Reliable, enthusiastic, and creative approach to working with children
