Landscaping Construction Labourer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team and contribute to constructing and enhancing outdoor spaces. This role involves hands-on work in landscape construction supporting the creation of beautiful, functional landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, a strong work ethic, works great in a team environment as well as on their own, and the ability to operate various tools and machinery.

Duties

• Assist with concrete patio preparation and placement
• Assist in timber fence and deck construction
• Assist in interlock and natural stone flat work and retaining walls
• Assist operators to perform excavation, grading, and site preparation
• Operate mini skid steers to assist site excavation duties
• Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment for construction-related tasks
• Support general site cleanup and debris removal after projects activities
• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues related to landscaping equipment

Requirements

• Clean Drivers record (G Class is required)
• Must have own vehicle
• Prior experience driving pickup truck and trailer combos required
• Prior experience or familiarity with landscaping tools and machinery such as excavators, skid steers, hand tools, power tools, concrete experience preferred
• Knowledge in landscape construction practices is preferred
• Mechanical knowledge beneficial for equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, digging, and operating machinery for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Prior experience in landscaping or related fields is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate

Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 9 months

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 55 per week
