Our busy New York City facility is looking for motivated Pickers/Packers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked from inventory and carefully packed for shipment, contributing directly to our **logistics** success. You will handle a variety of products, requiring attention to detail and efficiency. Maintaining a **safety**-conscious environment is paramount, and you will be required to use **PPE** and follow all **safety** guidelines diligently. This physically demanding role involves frequent **lifting**, standing, walking, and reaching. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order lists.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Verify picked items against order details for accuracy.
- Label packages appropriately for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere to all **safety** protocols, including the mandatory use of **PPE**.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Support overall warehouse **logistics** and shipping processes.
- Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks as needed.
- Contribute to meeting daily order fulfillment targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous picking and packing experience in a warehouse setting is a strong asset.
- Ability to **lift** up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Understanding of warehouse **safety** practices and **PPE**.
- Familiarity with basic **logistics** principles.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
